Peel pouch

Sterile processing definition

A peel pouch is a sterilization package made of paper on one side and clear plastic on the other, sealed with heat or self-seal adhesive. When double-pouching, the inner pouch is smaller, not folded and placed paper to paper with the outer pouch. Pouches are inspected for seal integrity and a chemical indicator change before use.
